‘IPS’ arrested to send joining letter to candidate’s house arrested: Fake IPS of Patna was cheating people of Nalanda; Up to 7 lakhs charged for getting a job
A fake IPS has been arrested in Nalanda, who was robbing millions of rupees in the name of getting a government job from dozens of candidates. Police have caught him after a victim lodged an FIR at the Bihar police station. The youth of the city have breathed a sigh of relief from his arrest.
Police said that Sujit Kumar, son of Rajkumar Chaudhary, a resident of Korai village of Deepnagar police station area, was cheating money from youth in the name of job. The officer took 5 lakh 90 thousand rupees from the one who has applied to the police station. All the youths and girls cheated are from different blocks of Nalanda district.
Bihar police station arrested fake IPS Sujit Kumar from Kadji Mohalla, Wadini’s rented house, when he came to the house of a candidate with a fake appointment letter from the railway. During this time, SHO Deepak Kumar got involved in the investigation of the whole case. Khaki uniform was recovered from Sujeet Kumar’s rented house
After the arrest of the fake officer, about a dozen candidates have reached the police so far. Up to ₹ 3-7 lakh was duped from each youth in the name of hiring a post for the post of Assembly, Secretariat, Railway Technician, TC etc. and many of these people have been given fake appointment letters.
